Community Development and Neighborhood Branding

This committee seeks to promote the Northside Alive neighborhood and business district by building a unified neighborhood identity. It has spent the last year working with Alloy5 to develop a marketing and brandy strategy.
It also focuses on community development projects that enhance residents' quality of life via expanded or new public services, community events and programs for youth and family.

Economic Vitality

The Northside Alive business corridor along Linden and Broad streets is home to some of the city's most eclectic dining and many small businesses.
This committee seeks to develop and implement a revitalization strategy to bolster existing businesses and attract new ones through physical improvements, new programs and amenities.

Safe and Vibrant Public Realm

Many Northside Alive residents want a more pedestrian and bike-friendly neighborhood. This committee works to beautify and improve Northside streets and public spaces.
The committee is working to redesign Friendship Park and improve multimodal safety. It creates and implements projects centered on streetscape improvements, making designated intersections safer, upgrading local parks and adding green space and public art.

Housing Committee

Aims to support both renters and homeowners by improving housing stock, preserving affordability, and addressing quality of life issues.
The committee will explore programs and initiatives that increase homeownership, support the improvement and preservation off rental and affordable housing needs. It will explore the creation of a neighborhood improvement district to support housing rehab, safe neighborhoods and offers home maintenance and rehab resources.
Currently, Northside Alive is offering commercial façade grants in partnership with Community Action Development Corp. of Bethlehem
