Resources for Homeowners

Updated: Oct 22, 2018

If you are a homeowner in need of repairs on your home, the city may be able to help. Through the Housing Rehabilitation program, income qualified homeowners are able to borrow up to $20,000 for repairs. The city will assist with the contracting process, inspections and payments on your behalf. Additionally, depending on the program you qualify for, your loan may be forgivable over time. For information, please call the city's Office of Housing Rehabilitation at 610-867-7096.

The city also has decoversion funds available for people interested in purchasing multi-unit homes and converting them back in to single family homes. Depending on the total project cost, up to $25,000 can be granted to the homeowners for these projects. To find out more, contact the Bureau of Housing & Community Development at 610-997-5731.
